Maree Fracchia — Sustainable Strength for the Long Game

Maree Fracchia is a personal trainer, health coach and Pilates instructor with a particular interest in strength, longevity and helping people continue to move well as they age.

At 58, she brings both professional knowledge and personal experience to her coaching, with a strong belief that it is never too late to become stronger, healthier and more capable.

She's not chasing more. She's chasing sustainable, so she can keep showing up for a long time to come.

Was there a moment where you realised this was more than just fitness?
There was no dramatic turning point. This has been a gradual shift. Over time, I realised strength training was far more gaining muscle and being strong. It gave me confidence to do difficult things and to push past the times when progress felt slow, to not give up, and to persist a little longer to see results.

I came to understand it was never about perfection. It was about consistency and patient progress. It was about enjoying the process, not the end game.

What does coaching give you that training alone never could?
Training is very much about your own work and discipline. Coaching requires you to see
beyond yourself. As a coach of the longevity program, I see and hear about the fears people carry about aging. I also see how powerful believing in yourself can be.

Coaching has taught me patience, empathy and how to help people trust themselves and their ability to do things they may not have thought possible. It is so rewarding to see this change unfold for people, their confidence grow and their perspective on life change.

How has your definition of strength changed over the years?
In my earlier years, strength training meant lifting heavier, doing more, and pushing harder. Now strength training has to be sustainable. I want to be doing this for a long time.

It is still training hard and pursuing challenging skills. But it is also protecting sleep,
regulating my nervous system, having some difficult conversations, and knowing when to
pause.

I love to train, and to continue to do so at this level, I have to be strategic, a little more patient, and always prioritise a healthy lifestyle with optimal recovery.

What drives you to still show up and lead at this stage of life?
At 58, I am building strength for the years ahead. I want to continue to be capable, independent and strong as I age. I want to live with intention, to always be my very best, and to inspire others to do the same.

There are many women in midlife who believe they have missed their window, but it is never too late. You can build strength at any age. Seeing change in these women is so inspiring and is why I love what I do.

What does high-performance mean now — physically, mentally, emotionally?
It used to mean pushing harder; now it means always being and doing my best. Physically, it means training intelligently/with a plan and being consistent. Mentally, it means clarity on my goals, focus and discipline. Emotionally, it means steadiness to not give up, trust myself and the process.

High-performance now prioritises recovery.

Where does recovery fit into your philosophy today?
Recovery is now more important than ever. I can still train hard but I simply can not ignore adequate recovery. I have built a consistent and intentional daily routine that includes:

Seeing the sunrise
Gratitude journalling
Daily movement
Time in nature
Sauna and cold exposure
Meditation
Consistent evening routine
Prioritising quality sleep

Recovery makes strength training sustainable.

How has CBD supported your ability to keep showing up consistently?
Advance CBD has become part of my evening routine, supporting deeper sleep and helping ease residual soreness from training. This has become even more important through the menopausal stage of life, as sleep can sometimes be challenged, and small aches and fatigue can build. It does not replace the fundamentals of health but it complements them very well.

Good quality sleep enhances recovery and helps make training hard possible. I want to keep doing this for a lot longer and keep being able to show up consistently. Recovery is key, and Advance CBD is part of this.
